本焼成の際に、土と釉薬の収縮率の違いで生じる自然な模様を「貫入」といいます。
その中でも、岡山さんが生み出すのは「亀甲貫入」と呼ばれ、亀の甲羅に似た氷を割っような貫入です。

目の覚めるようなブルーグリーンに、美しい薔薇が咲いたようにも見えます。
貫入は最後は窯任せな所があるので、現れた模様によって「亀甲」「薔薇」「氷裂」などと呼ぶことがあります。

まるで宝石のようなお皿です。
