小さなやきものですがひとつひとつ手作りしています。

リビングや玄関先にインテリアとして飾るアイテムにもなります。たかが箸置き、されど箸置きです。お箸の国の愉快なテーブルウェア、いろんな種類を集めるのもたのしいです。

同じ箸置を人数分揃えても、いろんな種類をひとつずつでも。

２種類の釉薬を掛け分けて(ちょっとひと手間、花の後ろには筆でニュアンスを加えて)焼成してあります。夏野菜のきゅうりは６～７月頃に５弁の黄色い花を咲かせます。その姿を模って箸置きにしてみました。

きゅうりの花言葉は「洒落(しゃれ)」なんだそうですよ。
まっすぐに伸びた姿が美しかったり、中には面白く曲がっていたり、クスリと笑わせてくれる姿かたちからつけられたようです。
